We just got the call from Kirsty telling us that the new baby is a girl. A granddaughter! Yay! That's what I had wanted - as if I had any say in it! She's due March 28th and they say they are going to name her Jenna. What exciting news! Now my mind is swirling with all of the craft projects I can get started now that I know. I saw a tutorial today for making burp cloths from cloth diapers - I might just have to make some this weekend! I wonder how Dominic is going to feel about having a little sister?

Good Intentions
When I visit my favorite blogs, I always hope that they will have a new post for me to read. Sometimes it is days or weeks between posts and I get so frustrated. Now I totally know why. I started this blog almost a week ago and was just sure that I would post everyday day. Ha! But, now, with 2 posts under my belt, maybe I'll get on a roll - but don't hold your breath.

These are two digital scrapbook pages I made of our visit to the snow on Christmas Day. The dogs had never seen snow before - and Sparky was pretty sure he didn't like it at first. But it didn't take long for the two of them figure out that it was actually a lot of fun -and I think Robert had some fun, too! I've always wanted to try doing a layout where the pictures are inside letters and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. I am really happy with the results - and it looks even better at the 12"x12" full size.

Entering the world of Blogging
A couple months ago I stumbled across the Happy Zombie http://www.thehappyzombie.com/blog/ blog when a friend gave me the directions to make Amish Friendship Bread. I thought I was just going to the site to print out the directions for the bread to pass along to some friends, little did I know that I would become a craft blog addict! The Happy Zombie has led me to discover many different fantastic blogs full of ideas, tutorials, inspiration and real emotion. I am thrilled to discover that there are so many women out there just like me that find ways to bring craftiness and creativity into their daily lives. And, by all of those other fantastic women sharing their daily lives with me, I have discovered that there is tremendous beauty, humor and things to share in my life. So...here's my humble attempt to share a little bit of me, my life and my creative pursuits. Hope you enjoy it!
